Suitable for all ages
Daniel Barrow is best known for his “manual animations” created by projecting, layering and manipulating drawings on an overhead projector.
For Scotiabank Nuit Blanche he transforms the façade of the Drake with a projected animation of his complex drawings as well as live performative details seen in the hotel windows. The result is like a graphic novel brought to life with the simplicity and wonder of a magic lantern show – all presented in an epic scale.
2010 Sobey Prize winning artist, Daniel Barrow combines detailed drawings, story telling and projection in live performances.
