Transhumance on The Esplanade

CORPUS - Toronto, Canada

Performance Art

Witness the transhumance of CORPUS’ one-of-a-kind sheep. Community members and professional performers team up to form a  herd of 15 sheep, out on a nocturnal stroll along The Esplanade.

Based on the company’s international hit Les moutons (described by a Dutch newspaper as “simple, but a stroke of genius”), Transhumance on the Esplanade aims to transform a typical urban setting in a bucolic country scene. Travel to a strange & hilarious universe as CORPUS takes you through a carefully studied, surrealistic overview of sheep behaviour. Routine activities will include: shearing, feeding, milking and many more... This truly innovative performance twists reality in surprising ways and takes audience interaction to new heights!

Bring nibbles.

Original performance of Les moutons conceived by Sylvie Bouchard and David Danzon.

CORPUS, known for its precise and surrealist humour, has presented more than 1000 performances in 26 countries in 4 continents.
