getting around

It's easy to navigate Scotiabank Nuit Blanche on foot, by bike, subway, bus or taxi. Many of the locations are clustered together in a way that encourages exploration on foot. Take it slow and plan your night around one zone in particular, or hop on a TTC Shuttle Bus and visit all three Zones.

Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)

The TTC is the quick and convenient way to get around the city 24 hours a day. Here are some pointers to help you use the better way to get to and from all three event Zones:

TTC Day Pass
The TTC Day Pass allows a single customer or a family/group of customers (up to 6 people, maximum 2 adults and 4 children/youths, 19 years of age or under) to pay one low price for unlimited travel on all regular TTC services. For Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, the TTC Day Pass is valid from the start of service on Saturday, September 29, until 9:00 am on Sunday, September 30. Day Passes are available at all subway stations at a cost of $8.50.

Extended Subway Hours of Operation
For the first time ever the TTC is extending subway system operation hours beyond 1:30 am! Especially for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, the TTC will be providing subway service right through the night until 7 am: on the Yonge Line between St. George Station and Eglinton Station only; and on the Bloor-Danforth Line between Christie Station and Broadview Station only.

Normal Hours of Operation
All other subway system stations, rapid transit, street car and bus services run until approximately 1:30 am on Saturday nights. Sunday morning service for most buses and streetcars starts between 5 am and 9 am depending on the location. The whole network is up and running by 9 am on Sunday morning.

Blue Night Routes
The TTC's normal overnight services, called the "Blue Night" bus and streetcar lines, offer service every 30 minutes or better between 1:30 am to 5 am or later until regular Sunday service starts. Blue Night routes in and around the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche sites will provide more-frequent service. Blue Night transit stops are marked with reflective blue bands. Visit ttc.ca for a map of the Blue Night routes.

TTC Shuttle Buses
To allow visitors to travel conveniently between the three zones, the TTC will be operating special Shuttle Buses all night long, from 7 pm to 7 am with a 15 minute frequency. Check out the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche maps for the Shuttle Bus stops. Regular TTC fares apply. Pick up a TTC Day Pass and use it on the Shuttle Buses.
