Viktor Mitic's gunshot piantings feature famous art works outlined in bullet holes. He paints portraits and later shoots the outline of the figures using various guns and live ammunition. Mitic's guns are tools for the creation rather than the destruction of art.

The Papermill Gallery features his bullet paintings. Mitic's Kandahar or Shooting the Animal (2010), a Volkswagen Golf which has been shot with over three thousand rounds of bullets, is installed outdoors. It is a modern safari, a hunt for a gas consuming animal.
