The 150 students of The Mabin School came together to transform their ordinary playground into an entirely different world. Take a visual and sensory journey through a "magical forest," and see the power of a child-driven and emergent artistic process.
"Once upon a time, in a land far from ours, there was a forest. This, however, was not any forest...." With this as their starting point, the 150 students of The Mabin School came together to transform their ordinary playground into an entirely different world. Through imagination, collaboration, and dedication they created an interactive installation that will take the public on an incredible visual and sensory journey through a "magical forest." Participants will experience first-hand the power of a child-driven and emergent artistic process. We believe that Art plays an important role in an academic curriculum and is an essential part of every child’s education. Our participation in this event shows, in a concrete way, the innate ability of children to think creatively, provoke discussion, experience the world around them and make meaningful Art.
