Artists from this year's Nuit Blanche will travel across the city on a specially commissioned trolley and discuss their projects in the context of different Toronto sites. The city becomes the backdrop to the work artists create in response to day-to-day life.

Seat holders: Lineups for the trolley begin 30 minutes prior to departure time at 100 Queen's Park. Ticket holders who arrive later than 15 minutes prior to departure, unless already on the prior trolley tour, may lose their seats to those in line waiting for rush seats. At the end of each tour, the trolley will return to 100 Queen's Park.
Trolley capacity: Forty seats available. Seating assignments will be on a first come, first served basis.
Rush seats: A limited number of rush seats may be made available on day of the event, beginning 10 minutes prior to departure. Rush seat tickets are not guaranteed.

A unique talk by world renowned artist Alfredo Jaar, who will present a selection of recent public interventions realized around the world and a selection of his canonical works, including A Logo for America. Nuit Blanche curator Agustin Pérez Rubio, curator and artistic director of Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA), will respond to Jaar’s presentation and facilitate questions. A meaningful engagement. Step into the life, intention, journey and constantly evolving practice that is the artist, JR. With a series of short films and documentaries featuring his present and early works, 2011 Ted Prize winner JR's narratives are explored in his gallery that is the world.

Artist Carlos Amorales’ large scale installation, Black Cloud, will be on view at The Power Plant and is one of the 14 extended projects from Nuit Blanche this year. It consists of 30,000 black moths cut out of paper. Amorales will address Black Cloud within the context of his artistic practice including his Liquid Archive, a digital database of images he has been building since 1998.

The Canadian premiere of Carlos Amorales’ recently completed film trilogy, curated by Nuit Blanche curator Christine Shaw. Amorales’ films begin with a rigorous research process, which in addition to infusing the works with life and substance, place each project within a particular historical and political narrative. The films will be introduced by Shaw, followed by a Q&A with Amorales. Co-presented with The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery. Program: Amsterdam (2013, 21 minutes), The Man Who Did All Things Forbidden (2014, 40 minutes) and The Eye Me Not (2015, 50 minutes).
