Video Installation

The CMC is excited to host its sixth Scotiabank Nuit Blanche in 2014 with the theme Global Motives to showcase how global traditions can, and have been, integrated into Canadian new music.

This October, we welcome twelve brilliant and innovative musicians to our intimate CMC space. Each artist will be featured exclusively in an hour-long set, while the culminating piece of their performance will take the form of a collaborative creation with the following artist on the evening's bill.

Examples of such a marriage of musical ideas will be Dinuk Wijeratne's South-Asian influenced piano pieces leading directly into Ed Hanley's Tabla recital of classical Indian Music.

Montréal based artist, Isaac Rayment will be presenting minimal, abstract, large-scale video projections interpreting each unique performance with representational visuals.
