Installation, Sound Installation, Video Installation, Multimedia Installation
An integrated audio/video/sensory experience. Inspired by the artist's personal experience with the 2004 Asian Tsunami. Juxtaposed with the idea that animals, in particular horses, have keen senses that detect any threat to their survival. The exhibit is a visual poem from a horse's point of view who follows his instinct and escapes the tsunami beffore it hits land. Meanwhile, mankind is too wrapped up with their modern culture and civilization. They have numbed their natural instinct to run away as fast as they can before they are buried alive.
