Installation

The River Peace is a 12 hour public participatory performance art installation inspired by Mahatma Ghandi's Satyaraghas. It will be a mass meditation on peace manifested as a collective large-scale choreography and orchestra interwoven throughout a 2000 ft long luminous sculpture carried by the public and lit by cell phone light. It will also be videoed from a construction crane and projected on The Distillery walls to create a real-time media artwork. From afar The River Peace will create a temporal sculptural form, while up close it will offer accessibility into an experiential and visceral intimacy as a collective meditation on peace.

Throughout September workshops will be held for the public to attend and collaborate on the artwork's creation. For information on how and where to participate, please visit:
