Environmental sound installations inhabit Chalmers House. Skyharp Ghost Tree will occupy the front garden. The Skyharp series creates virtual sound environments triggered by movements of trees.

In Ghost Tree, video footage documents the effects of the 1998 ice storm on one of Skyharp's star "performers" - a 90-year old elm. Recorded improvisations by dancer Holly Small provide an added layer of interpretation.

Inside, Miasma offers a false haven from climate change. Overheard conversations reflect the unpredictability of our relationship to the elements. Is global warming a storm in a tea-cup? Can we divine the future in the dregs of a coffee cup? Music drifts in and out of the room, creating an alternately soothing and unsettling effect. Musicians perform within the installation at 10:00pm and midnight.
