Sound Installation, Light Installation

Richard Mongiat's Rail of Light transforms the Wallace Avenue pedestrian bridge into a shimmering chandelier, literally shedding light on the electric-diesel controversy along the Georgetown corridor. Every three minutes, the sound of an electric train whooshes by in the darkness - quiet, clean, efficient. Beneath the bridge, a looped projection by Jeff Winch pays homage to the railroads surrounding the Junction Triangle. This installation will be visible from afar in every direction, but most spectacular up close. Take the city's funky new linear park, the West Toronto Rail path, to get there.
