Variable message boards, pictorial drawings

The Good Red Road is a common phrase used by many different Native American communities and translates as "one who is walking the road of a balanced life."  Drawing on the strength and beauty of First Nations spiritual traditions and teachings, an assisted readymade, such as a variable message board, is used to communicate some aspects of First Nations cultural knowledge in a contemporary art setting

The pictorial and reductive images are abstract in context though have been selected on the basis that such teachings and traditions may be conducted as a social or gathering place or as a solitary situation that may occur at night. Thereby transforming the night into a mysterious phenomenon that taps into one's inner knowledge and joins the journey on The Good Red Road.

Such pictorial images relate to Great Mystery,(original source of creation). The Thunderbeings (usable energy), Shaman's death (death and rebirth), the Moon Lodge (revitalize), the Trickster (learning through opposites), Kokopelli (productive) and Vision Quest (purpose).
